Behind the Blue-Star Banner Services is a writing, speaking and consulting organization designed to serve America's military families. Named for the blue-star banner flag that signifies the combat deployment of an immediate family member (each blue star on the flag stands for one deployed family member), BBBS specializes in serving those confronting the challenges of deployment on the home front.

As the founder of Behind the Blue-Star Banner Services, Army Wife Michelle Cuthrell serves the families of America's heroes by writing articles about her own experiences and lessons on the home front, speaking to and encouraging those who are facing those challenges presently and teaching churches, garrison units and civilian organizations how to better serve military families on the home front. Michelle is currently using her most recent project, Behind the Blue-Star Banner: A Memoir from the Home Front, a memoir about overcoming the challenges of her husband's 16-month extended deployment in Iraq, to encourage other families facing deployment extensions this year.
