The Extension

In July 2006, just 10 days before Matt was scheduled to return home from his year-long deployment, the Department of Defense extended his tour of duty for four additional months. The next week, on his 4-month birthday, Connor took patriotic pictures to send to Daddy to remind him that he supported him 100 percent and then some.
